The Silver Moon is an independent art and research magazine initiated and edited by Jana Zatvarnická, exploring the intersections of witchcraft, esotericism, art, and embodied knowledge. Developed through research in museum archives and collections in Europe and New York, it engages with themes such as magic, mysticism, botany, astrology, film, and music.
Through essays, interviews, and artistic contributions, it brings together voices engaging with the occult, ancestral knowledge, transformation, and the body—ranging from film analysis and tarot writing to explorations of plant knowledge, metal culture, and ritual practices. It invites readers to cross into unfamiliar territories and reconsider what is hidden, suppressed, or yet to be understood.
The Silver Moon is founded, edited, and published by Jana Zatvarnická, in cooperation with Seidelman & Company Verlag.
